This Redundancy Termination Letter is to be sent to employees whose positions are to be made redundant within your business following a consultation process with the affected employee(s). 

Taking into consideration any matters raised during the consultation process with the affected employee(s), once it has been decided by your business that a position(s) is being made redundant, the next step is to provide this document to employees whose employment will be terminated.   

The Letter outlines all the key details they need to be aware of, including reference to the consultation process (as well as redeployment not being applicable/opted into by the employee where relevant), important dates, the process for during the ‘transition period’ (between date of letter and termination of employment date), reference to redundancy pay calculations, as well as optional ex-gratia/other payments and reference to their post-employment obligations (e.g. restraint of trades) where relevant.
